![]() ![]() won the rights to produce a second English dub of the anime series with a handful of Canadian voice actors, as well as airing this dub in several English-speaking regions (Australia, United Kingdom, etc.), with CEG Distribution distributing the series. After the legal battles of who was going to gain ownership, a Canadian company from Toronto known as Zaza Sound Productions Ltd. In 1993, Fumio Suzuki made plans to bring the series to television once more to the English-speaking market. Afterwards, the Titan Productions English dub was no longer available to view at that time. On September 30, 1978, the license for NBC to hold the rights to the English dub has dropped due to the bankruptcy of Mushi Productions earlier in 1973. Despite the fact that they dubbed all 52 episodes of the series, 49 of them have been aired in a mixed-up order in the United States, due to the NBC catalog order of how they aired them in sequence. The story is too good to be left with such a shitty legacy, of just being another thing Disney copied. The original dub of Kimba, the White Lion was produced by Titan Productions for NBC Enterprises to license and run in syndication in the United States, with a handful of voice actors. I agree with the other poster though, you might as well just watch the anime (and definitely the 1997 movie) just for the sake of it. They did the same shit they did with The Thief And The Cobbler. They at least figured out that would be pushing things too far, but the warthogs looking just like Pumbaa, Scar’s design, and his relation to the hyenas/wanting to usurp the throne, Simba losing his father, all of that happened in the anime, just under different circumstances. In early concept designs, Simba was actually white. Note that Disney did not argue that they “took some influence but not to the point of plagiarism”, they argued that they have never heard about Kimba – which IMO is bullshit. ![]() Which makes this whole affair even more distasteful. Yes, they steal the character designs and various shots almost 1 to 1, but plot-wise, they are 2 different stories. ![]() Are you looking for the best Anime Memes?
